A message from The Committee
Dear Members, Parents and Guardians
This is a very difficult time for everyone and that includes Attenborough Cricket Club: our facility is closed and no definite dates are yet confirmed when any sort of cricket may be allowed this summer. But, we are determined to be ready to go, if and when the restrictions are lifted, and we are allowed to resume our activities.
It is, however, still costing the club considerable funds to maintain the facilities and keep the club going in readiness for any return in the future, with little in the form of income. The club is a non-profit making organisation and although we have some reserves, and we have done everything we can to reduce the costs of keeping the club going, we do have some bills that must be paid monthly.
We have lost all of our pre-season fundraising events as well as all of our bar and refreshment takings (including our beer festival) and most other streams of income have dried up.
We are currently investigating what little financial help may be available to us, but in the meantime the club are politely asking all club members, where financially possible, to make a contribution towards their normal membership fees. For those VP’s who have already paid we thank you and you do not have to pay another membership.
We are proposing that we ask for a contribution of £25 per member towards the membership for 2020. We appreciate this might be financially hard for some people, and is by no means compulsory, but we would not be asking for help if this wasn’t completely necessary.
Your contribution will count towards any membership fee for 2020 if the season does start.
