Cricket At Home – Leaderboard after 24 Challenges
Hi all,
Please find below the updated leaderboard following Challenge 24. Unfortunately, this will be our final challenge. With the gradual easing on lockdown taking place we have decided on balance that its a good point to stop the daily cricket at home coaches challenges. After 5 successful weeks and 24 challenges I hope you have had as much fun having a go as we have had in setting the challenges, a big thanks to the coaches involved and to you in supporting your kids in keeping up with the daily practice. The effort & determination to complete the challenges has been exceptional with some excellent scoring throughout – they are all winners !
I will keep the league open for a few more days to allow you to send through scores for any challenges missed and will send a final table out next week. Congratulations to George Burn & Sanjay Anand who are the joint winners of the league and cannot be caught and to Samuel Wignell for just about edging out a few others for being the leading kwik cricketer. Also stand out performances last week came from Sanjay Anand & Oscar McNarry in beating all the coaches on all 5 challenges ! ( Well done boys that is some achievement ) !

Its worth mentioning that you can now book the net at Attenborough ( no charge ) for a hour to continue your practice. This is open not just for hardball cricket but also for the kwik cricket players. The rules of use are on the clubs website and you need to call Neil Stentiford on 07957 828 891 to book a time.
Although we dont know yet when we can resume training & playing games again, the last update from the ECB is that cricket will not start before 1 August although there is the potential for an earlier return of junior cricket.
So hopefully not too long to wait and as soon as we know any more we will let you know ! In the meantime with the fine weather please use the challenges as practices and if you want to give your garden a break try out the net.
Enjoy your cricket & stay safe
