Covid-19 Measures at The Strand
Dear Member,
With league cricket starting this weekend we look forward to seeing people for the first time this season, however you will all notice some very obvious differences.
We have been working hard to ensure that the ground & all the facilities are safe for you to use following Government & ECB guidelines.
Covid-19 related documents can currently be found on our website under Latest News & in the near future we hope to alter the website so that a Covid-19 section will be included on the top line for easier reference.
The two main documents relating to Covid which I urge you to read are the “COVID-19 Facilities Q & A” & Risk Assessment which provide a guide to what we have prepared for both players & spectators on what to expect when you come to the ground; such as Lots of Signs, a QR Track & Trace register, One Way System through the bar area & a QR Visitor Sign-In register.
Bar – There is no standing allowed & as we have restricted space we are limiting seating at each table in the Pavilion to two people (Max Occupancy 24) & tables & chairs must not be moved together. On the Verandah seating is limited to only 12 people observing social distancing.
Car Parking – All spectators should enter & park using the first entrance near the outdoor nets, the main car park near the Pavilion will be for Players, Umpires, Scorers & Club Officials only.
Rain Stopped Play – In the event of bad weather we would ask people to return to their vehicles as we will not relax the occupancy limits in the Pavilion area.
Toilets are in the Pavilion near the front door but only 1 person at a time is allowed in the toilet areas. The Disabled Toilet is inside next to the rear Pavilion doors.
The QR Track & Trace is to comply with guidelines, data will only be held on file for 21 days before being deleted, but must be completed each day that you use the ground & facilities.
The QR Visitor Sign-In is a safer & more efficient method than a manual register & complies with club rules & Licensing Laws. Reminder that a member must sign in any guest/visitor using the facilities.
We would prefer spectators not to congregate in front of & around the Pavilion & to avoid the area in front of the changing rooms which is for players only.
You will find additional space around the boundary so please bring your own chairs as fixed seating is limited & we want to encourage social distancing.
The above is a summary of measures taken, please check out the website Latest News & I would ask you to please be patient & considerate as everyone gets used to the new way of doing things & to respect social distancing at all times.
We hope you enjoy the cricket & thank you in advance for your co-operation.
