It is with great sadness that we announce that Shirley Dandy passed away on Sunday 12 January.

Shirley was an Honorary Life Member of Attenborough Cricket Club and alongside her husband, Mick, and close friends Graham and Angie Clarke gave so much to the Club.

For well over 30 years Shirley and Angie helped give home and opposition players a warm welcome at Attenborough by providing teas on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, organising the tea rota and keeping the pavilion clean and tidy, while Mick ran the bar and Graham looked after the ground.

They all played a significant role in the running of the Club and their dedication, commitment and values have helped make the Club what it is today.

We are very grateful to Shirley for all the time and commitment she gave to the Club and pass our sympathy and condolences to her family.
