Best bowling figures: Once took all 10 for the 2nd XI back in the mid 70’s when we were in the Notts Combination

Favourite cricketer: D.Gower / I Botham
Favourite ACC moment: Having a playing career spanning 42 years and being a committee member for some 30 years I have too may to mention but here are but a few:
Playing my first game for the Senior XI at 14 with the likes of John Richardson, Geoff Vickers, Geoff Smith, Bob Sollaway, Brian Smith ,Tony Kingston, and a young up and coming fast (Very Fast) bowler, a certain Mr Michael Evans.
Captaining the 1st XI in the Club’s first ever Notts Alliance fixture after moving from South Notts Village League back in 1994 (I think).
Captaining the 2nd XI to the Knock Out Cup Final victory played at The Strand. (Think it was 1983).
ACC Requiring 6 to win with only 1 ball remaining, against Wollaton, along came Micky Apps and promptly despatched it for a massive straight 6, winning the match @ Wollaton.

What does ACC mean to you: The Strand has always been a massive part of my life both from a sporting perspective and a social one. Many fantastic memories have been made and amazing times had by all, both on and off the field. I would say ACC has very much been a ‘Second Home’ for me for many years.
